Resolve to Up Your Security and Preparedness
Are you a regular gym-goer? If so, have you noticed the annual New Years Resolution Crowd in January? You know, the people who make a New Years resolution to get fit and go to the gym? If you’ve seen this crowd, then you’ve probably noticed that they’re mostly gone by the middle of February – some statistics even say that 80% of new gym goers stop coming by the second week in February.
Get fit, eat healthier, stop smoking, get a better job…. Almost half of all Americans make New Years resolutions but less than 10% are successful in achieving their resolutions. You’re not going to be one of those people this year, right?
Here at Invictus Consulting we’d like you to think about a few different kinds of resolutions this new year – security and preparedness related ones. And this year, we’re hoping you will keep these resolutions and achieve success by year’s end.
- Create an Emergency Action Plan
- Update your existing Emergency Action Plan
- Drill your Emergency Action Plan
- Drill your Emergency Action Plan AGAIN
- Improve your Emergency Action Plan based on the outcomes of the drills
- Continue to drill, improve, update, drill, improve, and update your plan throughout the year
So resolve to improve your security and preparedness. Resolve not to fail on security and preparedness this year. Don’t be one of the statistics that gets pumped up about change in the beginning of the year only to let it fall by the wayside by April. Work on your security and preparedness all year long.
